This is a collaboration project with one of my classmates based on the archetype — undergarment. As two male Chinese students we wanted to talk about how diverse people can be as in China they have recently released policies claiming that male images presented on television should only be masculine, which banned male artists with so considered “female traits” to show up in public in order to eliminate the potentials for teenagers to go on the “wrong track”. While we think personalities can not be categorized by gender and that is why for this collection we mixed lingerie and military uniforms together. The idea here is that we are all allowed to have soft and strong sides.
